The white snake

TV Movie, 90 mins (ZDF), 2015
Director: Stefan Bühling

The fairy tale relates the story of the servant Endres, who discovers King Konrad’s well-kept secret. The king eats a piece of white snake every day, which allows him to understand the language of the animals. He uses this ability to shore up his power and is considered both a wise and terrifying ruler. When Endres is falsely accused of stealing Queen Beatrix’s ring, he eats some of the white snake. With the help of the animals and his trusted associate Princess Leonora, Endres is able to track down the ring. While on the run from the king, who fears the loss of his power, Endres discovers another well-kept secret.
